The WECHS PTSA Elections Process
The Wake Early College PTSA Nominating Committee is elected by the general membership no later than the meeting in February. This committee searches for candidates for four elected positions of the PTSA. Interested students, parents/guardians, and staff should send us an email (below) stating the position(s) they desire along with any relevant experience. The WECHS Nominating Committee will review interested candidates and select one candidate for each elected position. The list of selected candidates is called the “slate”. At the PTSA General meeting in the spring, the slate will be presented to the members.
At the election meeting, the membership will vote for each elected position on the slate and for any other PTSA member present that wants to be considered for the position. To be eligible for election and/or to vote, you must be a member of the WECHS PTSA at least 30 days before the election.
